The new US$260 million Demerara River Bridge is a testament to the country’s commitment to modernizing its infrastructure. Spanning 2.6 kilometres, it offers toll-free access and is designed to last for centuries.
With its illuminated towers and four-lane structure, the bridge represents a significant milestone in Guyana’s transformation. The President’s assurance that the employees will not lose their job security or benefits has brought relief to those affected by the construction of the new bridge.
