Pop sensation Charli XCX has officially married George Daniel, the drummer from the popular band The 1975, after a surprising video by an onlooker ignited rumors of their wedding.
The couple was seen on the steps of Hackney Town Hall on a Saturday afternoon, with Daniel dressed sharply in a suit and Charli making a statement in a stunning white gown.
Charli confirmed the news via a TikTok post that quickly racked up 3.9 million views, drawing in a flood of congratulatory messages for the newlyweds, affectionately referred to as “Mr and Mrs XCX.” Her latest album, Brat, has captured global attention since its release last year, launching her into the limelight and allowing her to perform at Glastonbury.
In her TikTok video, Charli showcased a playful mood while revealing her off-the-shoulder dress and signature dark sunglasses. She humorously captured the moment with the text, “When George isn’t crying when he sees me walking down the aisle,” to which she whimsically added, “Luckily he did xx.”
A subsequent post featured Daniel donning Charli’s veil, further illustrating their joyful celebration.
The pair, who have been open about their relationship for years and shared their engagement photos earlier in 2023, have collaborated creatively, including on Charli’s hit song Spinning and multiple projects from her recent album.
