
During a meeting in Cairo on July 10, 2025, Chinese Premier Li Qiang expressed China’s commitment to deepen Belt and Road collaboration with Egypt, emphasizing cooperation in economic sectors, trade, finance, manufacturing, renewable energy, science, technology, and cultural exchanges.
Li conveyed Chinese President Xi Jinping’s greetings to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, highlighting the positive development of China-Egypt relations under the strategic guidance of both leaders. He proposed leveraging the upcoming 70th anniversary of their diplomatic ties to enhance traditional friendships and strengthen mutual political trust.
The premier outlined China’s readiness to collaborate with Egypt in enriching their comprehensive strategic partnership, advancing achievements across various sectors, and working towards a shared future in the current era.
Amidst a turbulent international landscape with ongoing conflicts affecting West Asia and North Africa, Li emphasized China’s commitment to maintaining communication with Egypt and advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza. He expressed a desire to jointly address humanitarian crises and pursue a fair resolution to the Palestinian issue.
Li also highlighted China’s willingness to collaborate with Egypt in multilateral settings, including the UN and BRICS, promoting genuine multilateralism and advocating for a balanced multipolar world, as well as fostering economic globalization that benefits all.
