China has urged for the optimal utilization of the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism to achieve mutually advantageous outcomes after a round of trade discussions in Stockholm.
During a regular press briefing, Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, highlighted the significance of ongoing dialogue. He expressed hope that the United States would collaborate with China to fully utilize the consultation framework, in alignment with previously established agreements between the two countries’ leaders during a recent phone call.
Guo advocated for the continuation of consensus building, reduction of misunderstandings, and enhancement of cooperation through dialogue grounded in equality, mutual respect, and reciprocity. He expressed aspirations that both nations would aim for win-win scenarios that promote a healthy, stable, and sustainable trajectory for China-U.S. relations.
This push for effective trade cooperation reflects the intricate dynamics of international relations and the ongoing necessity for communication between two of the world’s largest economies.
