More boat trips scheduled to meet Christmas season demand
Minister of Public Works, Juan Edghill has announced that more boat trips have been scheduled to cater to the increasing demand for transportation services during the holiday season.
The additional trips are expected to alleviate some of the pressure on the vessels currently operating in the Region One (Barima- Waini) route, which include the MV Kimbia, Ma Lisha, and Barima. The Bartica route will also see an increase in daily trips, with support for transportation to and from islands such as Wakenaam and Leguan.
The introduction of the new Aris IV vessel is expected to further boost capacity along the Parika- Supenaam route, helping to meet the growing demand during the Christmas season.
