
A recent accident involving a tour van and a pickup truck near Yellowstone National Park has resulted in the tragic loss of seven lives, including that of the driver responsible. Police confirmed that Isaiah Moreno, a 25-year-old from Humble, Texas, had a blood alcohol level of .20%, significantly exceeding the legal limit of .08%.
The collision occurred on U.S. Highway 20 in eastern Idaho when Moreno’s Dodge Ram pickup crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a Mercedes tour van carrying over a dozen passengers. Both vehicles subsequently ignited, leading to the deaths of Moreno and six individuals from China, Italy, and California, while survivors were hospitalized with injuries.
Captain Chris Weadick of the Idaho State Police emphasized the importance of making responsible choices behind the wheel, stating, ‘This tragedy should be a wake-up call.’ Footage from the incident depicts the chaotic scene, with emergency responders arriving as local witnesses recounted the delayed response time due to the location.
