President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali conveyed warm Eid-ul-Adha greetings to all Guyanese, particularly to the Islamic communities both locally and abroad. His message focused on the profound impact of divine guidance in determining human destiny.
He urged individuals to reflect not only on their personal efforts but also on Allah’s influence in daily life. President Ali underscored that while humans should act purposefully, their ultimate life journey is directed by divine wisdom. He quoted the Holy Quran (81:29), emphasizing that human will aligns with Allah’s will.
The essence of surrendering to Allah, he pointed out, is not resignation but liberation from fear. He referenced another Quranic verse (65:3), reinforcing that trust in Allah is sufficient for facing life’s challenges, as everything is already destined by Him.
In these uncertain times, President Ali highlighted that genuine peace comes from divine trust rather than an obsession with control. Drawing inspiration from Ibrahim’s story, he remarked that faith takes precedence when certainty wanes. It fuels movement, nurtures belief, and fosters confidence even amidst doubt.
As the festival of Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated, the President encouraged a spirit of gratitude and intention, assuring that what is meant to be will unfold in time. He also wished peace, fulfillment, and divine clarity for all, encouraging everyone to embrace the path laid out for them with grace and illumination.
