As we celebrate the occasion of Youman Nabi, President Dr. Irfaan Ali emphasized the importance of unity in Guyana’s diverse society. In his address, he urged citizens to resist forces that divide and weaken us, and instead strive for harmony and cooperation.
The President reminded us that true greatness lies not in wealth or power, but in mercy, kindness, and service to others. He called on citizens to embody the Prophet’s teachings of compassion, unity, and respect for all humanity.
Prime Minister Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Phillips also delivered a message in observance of Youman Nabi, highlighting the continued relevance of the Prophet’s life and teachings. He emphasized that these lessons speak across time, faiths, and borders, and are essential for building a more just and caring society.
