The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) recently hosted a pivotal leadership workshop as part of its FIFA Forward Programme 3.0 initiative, aimed at fostering gender equality, accessibility, and inclusive governance practices within the football sector.
This high-level workshop, facilitated by Commissioner Nicole Cole, brought together regional executives from the East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) and the Georgetown Football Association (GFA), to discuss key areas of focus, including advancing gender equality in leadership positions, strengthening child protection mechanisms, and embedding inclusive governance practices aligned with FIFA standards.
The session was a testament to the GFF’s commitment to building strong institutions, ethical leadership, and safe environments that prioritize the well-being of participants and promote sustainable growth. The federation extended its gratitude to the Rights of the Child Commission and participating executives for their dedication to shaping a more equitable and inclusive future for Guyanese football.
