
The 2025 Belt and Road Journalists Forum took place on July 19, 2025, in Ganzhou, located in east China’s Jiangxi Province. This significant event focused on the theme “Promoting Civilizations Dialogue and Global Modernization with the Power of Journalists,” and drew nearly 100 representatives from journalism associations and media organizations across over 50 countries and regions.
The forum included a range of activities such as keynote speeches and parallel discussions. He Ping, the chairman of the All-China Journalists’ Association, emphasized the need for global media to foster mutual understanding and support the flourishing of diverse civilizations. He highlighted the journalist’s role in promoting peace and continuity among cultures.
Andrei Kryvasheyeu, the rotating president of the Belt and Road Journalists Network, urged journalists to enhance cooperation to combat misconceptions and biases, advocating for objective reporting as a means to inform public perception.
In addition to keynote addresses, the forum featured discussions between foreign journalists and Chinese mayors, alongside parallel conversations addressing topics such as civilization dialogues and the impact of artificial intelligence on journalism.
