
ExxonMobil Guyana has continued its commitment to local content development, spending over US$419 million with 1,800 local vendors in the first half of 2025 alone. This significant investment reinforces the company’s dedication to supporting local businesses and workforce training.
The company has also made major strides in developing local industrial capabilities, including the start of in-country fabrication services at the Vreed-en-Hoop Shore Base Inc. (VEHSI).
As of mid-2025, ExxonMobil Guyana employs over 6,200 Guyanese, making up 70% of its workforce. Notably, one in three employees are women.
The company’s leadership and training programs have benefited over 370,000 hours of training for oil-and-gas employees, including 6,200 Guyanese who work on the Stabroek Block.
ExxonMobil Guyana is also committed to capacity building, with plans to welcome the first cohort of students at the Guyana Technical Training College Inc. (GTTCI) in October 2025.
