A 24-year-old Venezuelan immigrant, Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, is facing multiple federal charges after allegedly posing as a teenager to enroll in a high school in Perrysburg, Ohio. A grand jury indicted him this week on four counts, including unlawful possession of a firearm and making false statements during a firearm purchase.
According to the Department of Justice, Labrador Sierra submitted a fraudulent birth date to obtain Temporary Protective Status and Employment Authorization Documents in 2024 and 2025. Additionally, he was found to possess a Taurus G3C 9mm semiautomatic pistol, which he was not legally entitled to hold due to his illegal status in the U.S.
Moreover, the indictment states he misrepresented himself to a licensed firearms dealer and falsely claimed his immigration status. If convicted, he could face substantial prison time: up to 15 years for firearm possession as an illegal alien, 10 years for false statements during a firearm purchase, and up to five years for using false documents.
Prior allegations also include forgery related to his enrollment at Perrysburg High School, where he allegedly used forged documents to pass himself off as a 16-year-old. Investigations were prompted after school officials reported suspicious activity concerning one of their students, leading to further inquiry by local police and federal authorities.
