
The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) has officially announced its 14-member team that will represent Guyana in the upcoming Cricket West Indies Regional Under-19 Tournament.
After extensive preparations, including the GCB Inter-County tournament and multiple training camps, the selectors have created a diverse roster filled with promising young talent.
The squad includes: Jonathan Van Lange (captain), Romario Ramdehol (vice-captain), Rampersaud Ramnauth, Parmeshwar Ram, Romeo Deonarain, Sachin Balgobin, Afraz Ali Budhoo, Shamar Apple, Salim Khan, Riyad Latif, Golcharran Chulai, Nityanand Mathura, Bruce Vincent, and Micah Amsterdam.
Standby players are Wavell Allen, Neeran Bani, Sanjay Algoo, Jayden Dowlin, Shiloh Adams, Matthew Pottaya, and Ronaldo Jeffery.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Garvin Nedd and Manager Nazeer Mohammed, Junior Lead Selector Andre Percival expressed his optimism about the team’s capabilities, noting his close attention to the selection process despite his commitments elsewhere.
The selected players along with reserves will commence full training on June 17. The GCB congratulates all players and appreciates the dedication shown during the selection process.
The team is set to leave for St. Kitts on June 29, reflecting the GCB’s commitment to thorough preparation ahead of the tournament, reinforcing their ongoing efforts in youth cricket development.
