The government of Guyana is set to unveil three integrated service hubs in Region Six, marking a significant step towards its digital transformation agenda. President Dr. Irfaan Ali announced the project during a recent press conference, highlighting the initiative’s focus on creating a people-centred approach to development and problem-solving.
These modern facilities will serve as one-stop shops for citizens, offering a range of government services, including immigration, passport applications, and licensing. The hubs will also feature direct help desks, allowing citizens to connect with government representatives seamlessly.
The President emphasized that the creation of these hubs is part of the country’s broader national digitisation agenda, aimed at delivering faster and more accessible public services. By integrating administrative regions directly with national government systems, the hubs aim to strengthen accountability in governance and ensure transparency.
According to the President, these integrated platforms will support the region’s evolving needs and reflect emerging priorities in areas like housing, small business support, and social services. The initiative is expected to serve as a template for similar hubs in other regions as Guyana pursues its national digitisation and inclusive development objectives.
