Police have launched a high-stakes manhunt for two suspects after cracking down on a massive marijuana operation at the Haslington Seawall. The bust, which yielded an astonishing 41.75 kilogrammes of cannabis, is estimated to be worth GY$37.5 million on the streets.
According to authorities, the boat used in the operation was intercepted by officers from Regional Division 4C and the Special Branch, who discovered four large parcels containing leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis. Despite an extensive search, the suspects managed to evade capture, leaving behind a trail of clues for investigators to follow.
The investigation is ongoing, with efforts focused on tracking down Timothy Fraser, a 32-year-old businessman accused of rape, and identifying the aliases ‘Black Boy’ and ‘Lisa’, believed to be connected to the operation. The Guyana Police Force is working tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.
