The Guyana Police Force is currently investigating a massive theft of $153.9 million from a telecommunications company.
A 37-year-old businessman, Quincy Baird, has been identified as the prime suspect in the alleged crime.
According to reports, the theft occurred between July 1, 2021, and February 18, 2025.
Ranks from the Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters conducted an operation on December 23, where Baird was contacted and arrested in relation to the allegations.
Baird is currently being held at CID Headquarters pending further investigation.
