This initiative was highlighted in a recent press release, where the company proudly shared its acquisition of the 2024 Local Content Certificate of Compliance and the approval of its 2025 Local Content Plan.
These accomplishments reflect MODEC’s steadfast dedication to advancing local engagement and fulfilling the stipulations of the Local Content Act of 2021. In the past year, the company initiated its first onshore trainee and internship programs designed to cultivate local talent while offering 45 procurement opportunities to local businesses.
Furthermore, MODEC has committed to investing in community initiatives focusing on education, technology, and environmental sustainability. Looking ahead, the company plans to maintain its efforts in recruiting and training Guyanese nationals and will present over 100 procurement opportunities for local suppliers this year.
