A Colorado park ranger has been arrested for allegedly faking a stabbing attack to avoid work. Callum Heskett, 26, was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with multiple felonies, including attempting to influence a public servant and tampering with evidence.
According to investigators, inconsistencies in Heskett’s story emerged during a probe of the incident. The ranger had radioed authorities at 9 a.m. Tuesday claiming he’d been attacked and stabbed, prompting a search and lockdown of several schools.
