The Guyana government is investing heavily in transforming the Number 63 Beach into a premier tourist destination. As part of the National Beautification Project, the beach is undergoing a major upgrade to boost the country’s tourism profile. Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce Susan Rodrigues recently visited the site and emphasized her ministry’s commitment to elevating the site’s profile.
The enhancements will not only make the beach more attractive but also position it as a key hub for leisure and entertainment in the region. With the development of other attractions such as a world-class stadium in Palmyra and a new bridge connecting Guyana with Suriname, the ministry expects a significant influx of visitors to the area.
Looking ahead, the ministry plans to roll out comprehensive plans for Number 63 Beach and other facilities across Guyana, aimed at strengthening the country’s tourism profile. This will involve cultivating ambassadors who will champion ‘Destination Guyana’ and promoting the nation’s natural beauty and culture to international standards.
