The remains of eleven-year-old Adriana Younge were transported to New York on Monday for a second autopsy. Adriana was tragically discovered lifeless in a pool at the Double Day Hotel on April 24, just a day after her family reported her missing.
Family members have expressed skepticism as the same pool had been searched multiple times, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding her death.
A preliminary post-mortem assessment carried out by three foreign pathologists in Guyana earlier determined that drowning was the cause of death. However, the toxicology results have yet to be released, and police continue to investigate the situation.
The pathologists performing the second autopsy plan to meet with Adriana’s family to share their findings. Her parents, along with several relatives, have traveled to the United States as they seek justice for their child.
The second examination is scheduled for Wednesday.
