In a significant enforcement operation, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported 122 undocumented individuals to China, following an upsurge in protests against ICE in Los Angeles. The charter flight, conducted on June 3, 2025, was part of a nationwide initiative aimed at bolstering public safety and law conformity.
The group consisted of 96 men and 26 women aged between 19 and 68, all holding final removal orders from ICE detention centers across the United States. Among those deported were individuals with severe criminal convictions, such as murder, rape, human trafficking, bribery, and drug offenses. For instance, a 47-year-old with a murder conviction and a 27-year-old guilty of rape were part of those removed.
Josh Johnson, the acting Field Office Director for ICEβs Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Dallas, emphasized that this operation enhances both community safety and national security by targeting individuals who disregard immigration laws. This action aligns with the administration’s tougher stance towards China, which includes various trade penalties and heightened tariffs.
As this operation progresses, ICE continues to encourage Americans to report immigration violations or criminal acts directly through their official channels.
