According to the South China Morning Post, Briley King, who is married to country musician Marcus King and has been labeled as "country music's most hated wife," declared in September that she was beginning her own music career. Following instances where she had occasionally performed duets with her husband on stage, Briley released her initial work, titled Huswife, on September 17. This debut release features her initial tracks, "Bad Guy" and "Keepin’ Caroline."
