China and EU Agree to Explore Cooperation in New Energy and AI After Trade Talks

According to China's Ministry of Commerce, the two sides possess 'huge cooperation potential' within the domains of green, low-carbon fields, artificial intelligence, and new energy.
Chinese and European Union representatives reached an understanding to examine cooperation in areas including artificial intelligence and new energy during their most recent trade discussions. Beijing characterized these talks as being 'equal, professional and constructive'.
The ministry stated that both parties reaffirmed their status as major trading partners and agreed to manage economic and trade disagreements within the World Trade Organization framework, thereby advancing trade relations that are 'balanced and forward-looking'.
It was noted that both sides believe the trade consultation mechanism is functioning smoothly and efficiently, and the successful holding of the second regular meeting is viewed as a new beginning rather than a final conclusion.
