South China Morning Post reports that FBI Director Kash Patel is engaged to country singer Alexis Wilkins, who shared a photo on X announcing the news. The couple has been together since before Patel became FBI head in 2025, and Wilkins has previously faced scrutiny regarding Patel's use of government aircraft for personal travel.
According to the South China Morning Post, FBI Director Kash Patel has announced his engagement to his girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, through a post on X on Sunday evening.
Wilkins, who is 27 years old, shared a black-and-white photograph featuring herself alongside Patel, 46, displaying her engagement ring with the caption, “Went and got the law involved.” The relationship between the two reportedly began prior to Patel assuming the role of head of the FBI in 2025, and Wilkins was present at his swearing-in ceremony.
Wilkins, who is also a political commentator, released her first album in 2023. She has been associated with conservative groups and states on her website that she “honours country tradition while adding relevance and current commentary.”
Patel, who shared Wilkins’ photograph, has previously encountered criticism regarding his use of government aircraft for personal journeys that lack apparent law enforcement objectives. This criticism includes the use of an FBI jet to travel to State College, Pennsylvania, for a professional wrestling event where Wilkins performed the national anthem.
