French Chef Guillaume Sejourne Shares Hong Kong Dining Recommendations
Guillaume Sejourne, who grew up in the French countryside, shares his culinary experiences in Hong Kong and recommends Ba Yi for Xinjiang cuisine.
According to the South China Morning Post, Guillaume Sejourne of Le Colvert has shared his preferences regarding where he eats steak and regional Chinese lamb dishes, as well as an Indian establishment he frequently visits.
Sejourne mentioned that his early culinary recollections stem from growing up in the French countryside in Soissons, which is near Paris. He recalled that his earliest food memories involve eating meat alongside vegetables from his grandmother's garden, and that she would often make extra servings to feed the local cats.
Having resided in Hong Kong for over 12 years, Sejourne expressed his growing affection for the city, noting the extensive variety of cuisine available to suit different tastes.
After exploring the dining options, Sejourne suggested that Ba Yi, located at 43 Water Street in Sai Ying Pun (Tel: 2484 9981), is among the finest Chinese restaurants for Xinjiang cuisine. He specifically mentioned enjoying the lamb leg dishes, flavorful soups, and bao at the establishment.
