GFF-Aspire agreement pairs youth-team support with advisory work

A Guyana Football Federation agreement with Aspire Zone Foundation covers support for the Under-14 and Under-17 teams, while training camps in Doha remain an opportunity the organisations will explore, subject to agreed programmes and facility availability. Kotinos is to assess Guyana’s football ecosystem and prepare a cooperation roadmap.

Guyana Times reported, citing a recent Guyana Football Federation (GFF) communication, that the GFF and Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) signed a memorandum of understanding at AZF’s headquarters in Doha. GFF President Wayne Forde and AZF Acting Chief Executive Officer Abdulla Nasser Al-Naimi signed the agreement. Its cooperation areas include youth and grassroots football, infrastructure, coaching, player development, knowledge exchange and commercial opportunities.

For Guyana’s Under-14 and Under-17 national teams, AZF is to provide technical and coaching support, player-development expertise and performance assessment. Training camps at Aspire’s Doha facilities are not confirmed: the organisations will explore opportunities for both teams to attend, subject to agreed programmes and facility availability.

A separate advisory role is assigned to Kotinos (Aspire Sports Consulting and Management). It will assess Guyana’s football ecosystem, identify development opportunities and prepare a roadmap supporting the agreed cooperation areas; the agreement does not describe those tasks as completed.
