Heal Fertility in Central Cleared to Resume All 17 Treatment Services After Corrective Measures
The Council on Human Reproductive Technology stated that Heal Fertility in Central is permitted to restart all 17 services under its license following a review confirming the clinic implemented necessary corrective actions. Previously, the clinic had been restricted from 14 of its 17 services since July 8 due to an embryo biopsy specimen mix-up involving two couples.
According to the South China Morning Post, the Council on Human Reproductive Technology announced on Monday that Heal Fertility in Central is authorized to resume all 17 treatment services covered by its license starting Tuesday. This decision followed a review by the Council's members, which confirmed that the clinic had appropriately put into practice the required corrective measures.
Prior to this clearance, the clinic had been prohibited from offering 14 out of its 17 licensed treatment services since July 8. This restriction was put in place subsequent to an incident involving a mix-up of embryo biopsy specimens that affected two couples. During the investigation period, the clinic was only permitted to continue offering three services related to the storage of gametes and embryos.
