According to the South China Morning Post, government forensic pathologists have expressed concern that it might be impossible to definitively identify the exact dogs involved in the suspected canine attack that resulted in the death of a young cyclist in Hong Kong earlier this month.

The victim, identified as Eva Chu, a resident of Fairview Park, was discovered on Pok Wai South Road near Nam Sang Wai at 12:42 am on September 20.

CCTV footage reportedly showed three dogs pursuing the 27-year-old woman as she was cycling on a shared bicycle, approximately 30 meters (98 feet) away from where she was found near a Drainage Services Department sewage pumping station.

Chu, who was employed as a background music operator, was transported to Pok Oi Hospital in Yuen Long and subsequently pronounced deceased.
