According to the South China Morning Post, a survey conducted by HK.WeCare, which is a platform established by the non-profit organization Wofoo Social Enterprises, determined that the Hong Kong Happiness Index stands at 5.87 out of 10. This score indicates that the index has remained below the passing benchmark of six out of 10 for a fourth consecutive year, although it is noted to be higher than its level in 2024.

Regarding social aspects, respondents indicated only moderate levels of community belonging and trust, with scores of 3.13 and 2.81, respectively, out of five. The report also stated that both community belonging and trust were found to have a direct connection to happiness.
