According to the South China Morning Post, Hong Kong's leader has advised residents to pay close attention to an upcoming three-day debate scheduled for the legislature, which will cover the concept and specifics of the city's first five-year blueprint and the latest policy address.
Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu stated on Tuesday that he anticipates the Legislative Council debate tomorrow, during which government officials and lawmakers will engage in a thorough discussion regarding the concept and particulars of the five-year plan. He noted that government officials, led by Chief Secretary Eric Chan Kwok-ki, are expected to attend these sessions.
Lee Ka-chiu further encouraged the public to observe the proceedings closely, asserting that this attention would aid in a better comprehension of the significance and importance of the five-year plan, as well as how the policy address intends to put the plan's first-year initiatives into action.
