According to the South China Morning Post, the Indonesian National Police's counterterrorism unit, Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88), announced on Sunday that 11 individuals suspected of terrorism had been apprehended during raids conducted across multiple provinces since operations commenced on Friday. These provinces include West Java, Central Java, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Riau, and North Maluku.

A spokesman for Densus 88, Mayndra Eka Wardhana, stated in a release that the suspects are thought to have ties to Daulah Islamiyah and other terrorist organizations. Wardhana further mentioned that the suspects used "virtual rooms" to communicate with one another.
