According to the South China Morning Post, industry stakeholders are requesting greater transparency in the process of hiring teachers, specifically asking for clear data regarding budget allocations and the number of positions filled, particularly in light of issues related to job applicant targeting and mismatches.
During a recent plenary session of the House of Representatives, Antonio Tinio of the Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) questioned officials about the perceived lack of urgency, pointing out that thousands of qualified individuals listed in the registry were still awaiting employment.
