In a column titled "Guyana the unbelievable, the inexplicable" published in Kaieteur News on October 23, 2026, the author, GHK Lall, stated that Guyana is a country of significant nature and that the country under the PPP Government warrants placement in an extremely negative category. The author observed that citizens are being repeatedly savaged, with silence being the only audible response, which the author attributed to fear or low ambition. The piece asserts that the PPP Government is aware of the Guyanese population and that its leaders know they can mistreat them and violate standards with few objections arising.

Lall noted that an individual holding a constitutional office is being hounded, watched, trapped, and battered, and that few words of protest are heard from Guyanese. The author claimed that many who previously spoke highly of the sanctity of the Guyana Constitution have either withdrawn or compromised themselves. The author stated that dependency on the PPP Government renders the dependent effectively dead to principles, integrity, and personal honor, a condition that applies to both individuals and groups.

Specifically, the author mentioned that a judge recently experienced isolation and character assassination, which the author characterized as the result of a high-level orchestration followed by widespread derision. The author asserted that no single voice was heard to object or denounce this, noting that the constitution is being treated disrespectfully and the judiciary is being compromised. The author then commented that many who claim to champion democracy, the constitution, parliament, and law are among the most deceptive figures in the region.

Furthermore, the column addressed the Guyana Police Force, describing it as having been converted into a private security force with directives to "Strike hard. No mercy. No prisoners." The author suggested that fixups and frameups could become part of the Police crime-solving methods, referencing the case of the judge as evidence of the PPP Government's reach. The author contrasted the current state of the Guyana Police with the era of Burnham's police force, questioning if the country has developed a form of national ignorance. The author concluded by stating that given the ability of the Guyana Police to be used against a Constitutional officeholder, the likelihood of worse being inflicted upon ordinary citizens is considered unbeatable.
