Kaieteur News reported on September 27, 2026, that Lisa Hamilton was due to represent Guyana at the Scuola Pizza Championship in Buenos Aires, scheduled for September 26–27. The report does not say whether she had competed by publication time or provide an outcome. It said Alex Tenorio, who had been slated to represent Guyana, was unable to participate for unforeseen reasons.
The two competitions had distinct results: Tenorio won the Neapolitan category in the inaugural EU-Guyana Pizza Competition, while Hamilton won its Guyanese category and was declared the overall winner after scoring the most points across both categories. Citing an EU Guyana release, Kaieteur News said the Scuola championship’s first-place score combines results in Margherita STG, Contemporary Pizza, Pizza Romana in Teglia and Gourmet Pizza; Pizza in Pala is the tie-breaker. The winner receives an all-expenses-paid trip to Italy.
