Man Allegedly Installing Cameras in Gym Changing Rooms Granted Bail in Hong Kong
Fung Kwok-wang, 34, a construction site foreman, was released on HK$2,000 bail after allegedly installing pinhole cameras in changing rooms at a 24/7 Fitness branch in Sha Tin, with the case set for further hearings.
According to the South China Morning Post, Fung Kwok-wang, who is 34 years old and works as a construction site foreman, has been granted HK$2,000 bail while police continue their investigation into allegations of voyeurism at a 24/7 Fitness location in Sha Tin. The defendant was not required to plead to a charge of voyeurism during his initial appearance at Sha Tin Court on Tuesday, as prosecutors requested an eight-week postponement to allow for additional police inquiries aimed at identifying potential victims.
Acting Principal Magistrate Cheang Kei-hong set the bail amount at HK$2,000 (equivalent to US$255), stipulating that Fung Kwok-wang must remain within Hong Kong, refrain from contacting prosecution witnesses, and stay clear of the 24/7 Fitness branch situated on Lek Yuen Street in Sha Tin. The matter is scheduled to be heard again on November 25.
