Kaieteur News reported on October 31, 2026, that the Ministry of Housing is developing a truck parking facility valued at $600 million at Number 75 Village, Region Six, which is anticipated to be finished soon. This facility is noted by the ministry as the second truck park designated for Region Six.

According to the ministry, the 10.6-acre site represents an investment of about $600 million, and three out of the four project lots are nearly finished. The ministry indicated that the remaining construction work is projected to be completed within the subsequent two to three weeks.

During a recent site visit, Minister Collin Croal and the contractors discussed the necessary lighting and security measures to ensure the facility can begin operations before the year concludes. The housing ministry further stated that this park is part of initiatives aimed at addressing community grievances and lessening the environmental risks linked to trucks parking in residential zones. This same model is intended to be implemented for other truck parks being developed along Guyana's coastline.
