Nvidia and AMD Leaders Join Advisory Board at Tsinghua University
Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia, and Lisa Su, chief of AMD, have been appointed to the advisory board of Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management, a body recognized for linking international executives with senior Chinese officials.
According to the South China Morning Post, Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of Nvidia, and Lisa Su, the chief of AMD, have become part of an influential advisory board at a prominent Chinese university. This board, which is known for facilitating connections between global executives and senior Chinese officials, has seen the addition of Huang and Su.
Huang and Su were among three new appointees to the advisory board of Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management (SEM). The school's official social media channel announced this appointment on Tuesday, noting that Marc Pictet, who is the senior managing partner of the Swiss wealth and assets manager Pictet Group, was also among the new members.
The Tsinghua school's announcement described Huang as the founder of Nvidia, a company that is credited with inventing graphic processing units and initiating the modern AI era. Furthermore, the school stated that Su's leadership was instrumental in transforming AMD into a leading firm specializing in high-performance and adaptive computing.
