According to Surapong Sarapa, the head of forecasting at the Meteorological Department, the Thai capital is projected to receive approximately 50mm (two inches) of rainfall each day between October 11-13. This period coincides with the commencement of a week-long meeting involving finance ministers, central bankers, executives, and other delegates representing the institutions' 191 member countries.
Large trucks and four-wheel-drive vehicles will be deployed to transport over 15,000 delegates if roads flood this weekend.
