Social Media Users Question Origin of Air While Indonesian Officials Make Claims
Some social media users have raised questions regarding the source of the air they are breathing, prompting comments from Indonesian officials who made claims about the origin of oxygen.
According to the South China Morning Post, some individuals on social media have expressed doubt about whether the air they are inhaling is imported, and they have inquired about how such air might be sold.
In a video that circulated widely through the Indonesian media outlet Kompas, an official stated that their contributions were not limited to sending smoke, adding that when there is no smoke, they send oxygen. This official further asserted that the oxygen found in Singapore and Malaysia originates from their forests.
In response to these claims, users on social media platforms questioned the notion of breathing imported air and also pointed out that Malaysian forests seemed to have been overlooked.
