Three Siblings Remain Hospitalized Following Parents' Arrest; Temporary Care Arranged
The Social Welfare Department has determined that the three siblings cannot return home after their parents were arrested on suspicion of child ill-treatment, and temporary accommodation has been arranged for them.
According to the South China Morning Post, welfare evaluations have concluded that the three siblings are not suitable to return to their residence subsequent to the arrest of their parents on suspicion of child ill-treatment.
Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun Yuk-han stated on Friday that the three children were undergoing health checks in the hospital and were anticipated to be discharged either later that day or on Saturday.
Sun Yuk-han indicated that even after the siblings are released from the hospital, the Social Welfare Department's assessment is that an immediate return home would not be appropriate.
Consequently, suitable temporary housing has been organized for the three children following their discharge.
