Two Southampton Teenagers Charged Following Stabbing at Hampshire Halloween Party

According to BBC UK, two boys from Southampton, both aged 16, appeared at Southampton Youth Court following a stabbing incident that occurred at a residence on Park Road, Chandler's Ford, shortly after 22:30 GMT on a Saturday. One of the two boys faces a charge of attempted murder, while the other is charged with wounding with intent. Both individuals have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear at Southampton Crown Court on November 13. The boy accused of wounding with intent stated that he does not plead guilty. Due to their age, the identities of the pair cannot be disclosed.

Four other teenage boys have previously been taken into custody, all on suspicion of attempted murder. Police reported that these four boys have been granted bail under specific conditions, which include restrictions on certain locations and individuals they can communicate with. All five young people who sustained injuries—three aged 16 and two aged 17—had been invited to attend the supervised gathering. One of the 17-year-olds remains hospitalized in serious condition, while the other four who were seriously injured have since been released from the hospital.

Police officers are continuing patrols in the vicinity and speaking with local residents, young people, and businesses. Anyone impacted by the event is encouraged to utilize the free support provided by the Hampshire Victim Care Hub. Barton Peveril Sixth Form College stated that two of the individuals who were attacked were current students at the institution. The college in Eastleigh announced that it will provide wellbeing drop-ins featuring mental health trained youth workers and counselors at Barton on the next three Thursdays at 14:30 GMT for any Barton student requiring support after the Halloween party in Chandler's Ford.
