The South China Morning Post discovered that despite efforts to curb visitors misusing visas to provide unauthorized services like photography and tour guiding in the city, advertisements for such unlicensed work persist on mainland Chinese social media platforms leading up to the National Day 'golden week' holiday.

A review of RedNote conducted by the SCMP revealed accounts that presented themselves as photographers based in Shenzhen who were offering their services within Hong Kong.

Several of these accounts also requested that clients cover their travel expenses between the two locations.

One specific listing mentioned offering photography services at Hong Kong Disneyland for 220 yuan (US$33) per hour, which required a minimum booking of two hours, in addition to travel costs estimated at around 120 yuan.
