David Daniels, the Alliance For Change (AFC) Region Seven Chairman and founder of the Small Miners Association, publicly supports President Dr. Irfaan Ali’s bid for a second term, aligning himself with the ruling People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C).
In a recent interview with the News Room, Daniels emphasized, “As you age, you come to realize that what truly matters is what is right before you. I can only focus on what I see, and what I’ve witnessed is a significant transformation in the mining sector.” His commitment is to amplify the concerns of miners within government.
Daniels pointed out the contrasting trajectories of the AFC and his vision for mining representation, stating, “My direction aligns more closely with President Ali’s approach, which takes into account mining and agriculture, not just oil and gas. This broader perspective resonates with miners’ aspirations for the industry.”
While acknowledging his gratitude to the AFC for his political journey, he believes that the PPP/C better aligns with their objectives, particularly for mining representation.
His endorsement comes in a wave of similar support from other former AFC members, all praising President Ali’s performance and inclusive policies ahead of the upcoming General and Regional Elections on September 1, 2025.
