In a shocking revelation, Adam Sheafe, a 51-year-old man, confessed to killing Arizona pastor Bill Schonemann, 76, and disclosed intentions to target 14 more church leaders. During an interview with FOX 10, Sheafe expressed a chilling belief that these leaders mislead their congregations by preaching the teachings of Jesus, whom he considers a false god.
Pastor Schonemann, known for his role at the New River Bible Chapel, was discovered dead in his home on April 28, with his arms spread wide and affixed to a wall, a scene that deeply unsettled the local community.
Dubbed “Operation First Commandment,” Sheafe’s plan aimed at crucifying several unspecified Christian leaders. He was apprehended by authorities near the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona, Arizona, where he intended to murder two priests. Remarkably, he recounted a failed attempt to confront one priest before executing his plot.
Determined, Sheafe claimed he sought to carry out the murder and evoked a readiness for severe consequences, stating, “Put me on death row… the victims want it.” Currently charged with first-degree murder in Maricopa County, he remains in custody as legal assessments unfold, with potential death penalty implications looming over his case.
This unsettling incident continues to reverberate through the Arizona community, leaving many searching for answers.
