Three men have been remanded after being charged with armed robbery, appearing before the Springlands Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. The accused are Delroy Parks, 42, a laborer from Cromerty Village, Amzad Ally, 30, a taxi driver from No. 70 Village, and Antwan Kyte, 34, a security guard from Dukestown, Corriverton.
Magistrate Tuanna Hardy oversaw the proceedings where the trio was charged for allegedly robbing Ramona Crawford on July 19, 2025, in Number 58 Village, Corentyne, Berbice. All three pleaded not guilty to the charges, leading to their remand and a transfer of the case to the Number 51 Magistrates’ Court.
Details emerged that on the evening of the incident, the victims were returning home after socializing when they were confronted by two masked men armed with guns. One of the victims identified Parks as a robber due to his clothing. The assailants demanded cash and jewelry, fleeing with an undisclosed amount.
Law enforcement apprehended Parks shortly after the crime while he was still in the clothes described by the victims. During a search, a gold bangle was found in his possession. Further investigation led to Ally’s admission that he had assisted in the robbery by dropping off Parks and Kyte. Additionally, police recovered a .32 pistol with ammunition from one of the suspects’ residences.
