A devastating accident claimed the life of a 65-year-old woman, Donna Punch, in Alness Village, Corentyne Berbice. The incident occurred when a truck wheel blew out and struck her on Sunday morning.
Her husband, Pastor Leroy Punch, recalled that he and his wife were walking near the public road, en route to a nearby church, when they heard a loud noise approaching. Despite their efforts to move, the wheel hit his wife, leaving her critically injured.
Donna was rushed to the Port Mourant Public Hospital, where she was pronounced dead due to her severe injuries.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving behind a grief-stricken husband and three daughters who survive him.
