An unfortunate incident has led to the tragic death of a 70-year-old hiker from Illinois, Jack Wersching, who fell while exploring the Kaaterskill Wild Forest in the Catskills, New York, on the evening of June 20. Wersching was traversing a path near a waterfall when he unexpectedly fell from a rock ledge onto the stone steps below, as reported by the New York State Police.
