A tragic double homicide at Devil’s Den State Park in northwestern Arkansas has left a family devastated and a community in shock. Clinton Brink, aged 43, and his wife, Cristen Brink, 41, were found deceased on a hiking trail while enjoying an outing with their two young daughters on Saturday afternoon. Thankfully, the children, aged 9 and 7, were unharmed and are now safe with relatives.
This incident has prompted an immediate manhunt for the suspect, described as a White male with a medium build, wearing a rolled-up long-sleeved shirt, dark pants, a dark ballcap, sunglasses, and fingerless gloves. He was reported to be carrying a black backpack and was last seen driving a black, four-door sedan, likely a Mazda, with tape covering the license plate.
Authorities emphasized the remote nature of the park, characterized by rugged terrain and thick vegetation, making the situation especially challenging for law enforcement. Shea Lewis, Secretary of the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, expressed condolences to the Brink family and emphasized the priority of visitor safety. Increased law enforcement presence in state parks has been announced as investigators look for any photos or videos from park visitors that might aid in identifying the suspect.
