During a recent conversation aboard Air Force 1, President Donald Trump elaborated on his decision to expel Jeffrey Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Trump noted that Epstein engaged in inappropriate behavior by “stealing” employees, which included notable figures such as Virginia Giuffre, leading to their falling out.
Trump stated, “He took people… and once he did that, that was the end of him.” This incident evidently took place years before Epstein faced legal troubles. Epstein was ultimately banned from the estate after Trump learned about his actions, which were deemed unacceptable.
Virginia Giuffre, now known for her accusations against Epstein, was allegedly recruited while working at Mar-a-Lago’s spa. Trump remarked that she had no issues with the estate itself. The relationship between Trump and Epstein deteriorated further in 2004 when Trump successfully bid on a coastal property in a bankruptcy auction that Epstein had wanted.
Giuffre became a significant advocate for Epstein’s prosecution, shedding light on the decades of abuse connected to him. Meanwhile, Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate, currently serves a 20-year sentence for her role in the crimes. Recently, she was called to testify before a committee regarding Epstein’s operations but conditional upon immunity, which was not granted.
