A devastating bar fight in West Coast Demerara has claimed the life of a Venezuelan national. Jose Alberto Quinonez Sanguino, 30, succumbed to his injuries after being attacked with a cutlass during an altercation at Best Village.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident began as an argument involving several male Venezuelans and ended in chaos, resulting in one of them inflicting a fatal chop wound on Sanguino. Despite efforts by emergency services, the victim was pronounced dead at the West Demerara Regional Hospital.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect, 30-year-old Kevin Eversley, also known as ‘Chino’, who is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting.
The investigation into the incident continues, with several other suspects being questioned. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
